Tuition, Financial & Other Material Assistance

Students who are admitted to the Neuroscience program are provided with financial assistance in the form of a tuition waiver, and most of them receive monthly stipend if they don’t work in another job. PhD students who don’t work outside receive MultiNet meal cards, as well. Optional private health insurance support is also available.

Additionally, we strive to provide on-campus housing (in student dormitories or lodgings with a fee). Furthermore, a limited financial support may be available to help cover the costs to present your research at a national or international conference. These benefits are subject to availability and certain criteria.

In addition to the University’s financial support, all graduate students are strongly encouraged to pursue the external funding opportunities that are available in Türkiye (e.g., TÜBITAK individual fellowships such as BIDEB or Fulbright). Additionally, students can be supported by their advisor’s external grants (e.g, TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB or EU grants).

Students are assigned Teaching Assistant (TA) duties based on their undergraduate education. If a student receives financial support, s/he must maintain satisfactory academic progress (including performance in TAships and departmental service) to continue to receive support.
